SPECULATION UNHELPUL AND UNTRUE - OAKESHOTT

INDEPENDENT MP for Lyne Robert Oakeshott has responded to incorrect news reports of the past two days speculating on his views, saying formal negotiations are yet to even begin.
“Anything anyone reads or hears about me possibly siding with Labor or Liberal is simply untrue,” Mr Oakeshott said.
“Counting in key seats continues and each of these seats matters in determining the who, what, where and how the negotiations unfold.
“Therefore, no-one, no media outlet, nor any community member should draw any conclusions on my views. They would be presumptuous in doing so.
“Rest assured, I will advocate and lobby for the Mid-North Coast and for a better Parliament throughout this process, and I will be doing this without fear or favour and based on achieving stable government and an outcomes-focused government for the next three years,” Mr Oakeshott said. ENDS
