SEMINAR TO HELP LOCAL SMALL BUSINESS

Port Macquarie MP, Rob Oakeshott, has urged local small business owners to attend a free marketing and selling skills seminar as part of small business September.

Mr Oakeshott said the event, on September 25, is part of Small Business September, an initiative highlighting the contribution made by small business to the local economy.

"This event will help our local small business owners develop skills in marketing and selling techniques, all with the aim of increasing their future success," he said.

"This workshop will give tips and skills on the importance of developing a solid marketing plan for small business.

"Participants will learn key points in developing a marketing plan, how to improve your marketing and selling skills and the necessity of having a solid plan in place for whatever may arise."

Mr Oakeshott said the seminar will be held at Port Macquarie Community College, 77 Hastings River Drive, Port Macquarie. For registrations contact admin@betterbusiness.nsw.gov.au, or call 02 65835647.

This seminar has been organised by the Mid North Coast Business Advisory Service.

Small Business September events had been designed to provide the business people of the region with useful, accessible business information to help them grow their business.
