OAKESHOTT WELCOMES GLOBAL WARMING WALKER
Environmental "Walking" campaigner, Sarah Bishop, has arrived in Port Macquarie to raise awareness about global warming and climate change, Independent MP for Port Macquarie, Rob Oakeshott announced after meeting her at the Town Green.
"Ms Bishop, 22, is walking from Brisbane to Sydney and will be in the local area over the coming few days and can be seen along the beaches from Point Plomer to Harrington, said Mr Oakeshott.
"Global warming is an important and worthwhile cause and the commitment of one young person such as Sarah shows that we all can make a difference.
"Sarah leaves the Port Macquarie area today, to head further south through the electorate towards Harrington and has been making several local school and library visits over the past few days." Mr Oakeshott said
