OAKESHOTT PLEASED TO PRESENT LAURIETON LIONS WITH $3,000 FOR CONTINUED GOOD WORK

 

Independent MP for Port Macquarie, Robert Oakeshott, today said he was pleased to this week present the Laurieton Lions Club with $3,000 to go towards the purchase of a new marquee for their food preparation areas.

"The Laurieton Lions Club, like many service organisations on the Mid-North Coast, are more often than not, the cornerstone of many community events. They are quite often the drivers of social interaction within our community, and Australia Day in Laurieton, organised by the local Lions, is just one recent example, Mr Oakeshott said.

"Hopefully this money will assist in the running of community events, and I am confident will be well spent by the local group, and once again well done, and a big thank you on behalf of all residents of the Mid-North Coast, Mr Oakeshott said today.
