OAKESHOTT COMMENTS ON SECTION 740 INQUIRY INTO PORT MACQUARIE-HASTINGS COUNCIL

 

Independent MP for Port Macquarie, Robert Oakeshott, today invited concerned members of the community, including employees of Port Macquarie-Hastings Council, to make submissions to the public inquiry announced today.

"This is an important time for the Port Macquarie community and I concur with the words of the current Mayor when he said "Bring it on".

I would hope all concerned residents, as well as employees of Council, recognise the importance of their role to make submissions about any aspect of Council, including any concerns in relation to decisions taken and/or question-marks about process, Mr Oakeshott said.
