NORTH HAVEN PUBLIC SCHOOL SET FOR UPGRADE
The chase for upgraded facilities for North Haven Public School has kicked off with state funding approved for new toilet facilities, Member for Port Macquarie, Rob Oakeshott, announced today.
"I am very happy to announce that funding for $75,000 has been approved under the state's Building Better Schools program, for improved capital works at North Haven Public School, Mr Oakeshott said today.
"The funding will go towards a much-needed, upgraded toilet facility for the students and is certainly welcomed, given that the chase is on for further dollars to go towards other identified infrastructure projects at the school.
"I recently attended a meeting with Principal Peter Vincent and the school's P&C, where a number of projects were identified as necessary to improve teaching and learning outcomes for the school.
"These projects included an upgraded teacher and administration facility, which would in turn unlock a number of other areas for the benefit of the students and teachers, Mr Oakeshott said.
"Today's announcement is a great way to kick off those further discussions with the State Government and I look forward to working with the school community to help them achieve further positive results," said Mr Oakeshott.
